How can firms innovate and make better decisions in the face of risks which threaten to disrupt critical organizational processes?

I leverage unique, hand-built data sets and draw on my own industry experience to generate insights which translate directly to practice; are academically rigorous, valid, and interesting; and meaningfully inform businesses how they can continue to deliver value in the face of uncertainty.

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the UVA Darden School of Business (Charlottesville, VA). I was previously a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Cambridge Judge Business School (Cambridge, UK). I received my PhD from IE Business School (Madrid, Spain) and my BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, GA, USA).

I am a strong believer in bridging academia and industry: producing research that is grounded in practice and has the potential for large impact and relevance. To this end, I have several years of industry experience working in the Risk Management and Vehicle Total Quality departments at the BMW Group in Munich, Germany and Spartanburg, SC, and at Delta TechOps in Atlanta, GA.
